TPO – The project to upgrade and expand the extended Hanoi – Hung Yen inter-provincial road (section through Hung Yen province) with a total investment of nearly 2,900 billion VND is expected to be completed in 2025. The project is expected to contribute to exploiting industrial and urban potential, while creating a traffic axis connecting throughout Hung Yen province.

The project to upgrade and expand the Hanoi - Hung Yen inter-provincial route (section passing through Hung Yen province) started construction in August 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2025 with a total investment of VND 2,900 billion.

The project upgrades and widens about 33 km of the old roadbed and is divided into two sections for construction. Of which, the first section is 14.5 km long from Van Giang district roundabout to Yen My roundabout.

Items such as road markings, signs, lighting and signals… have been completed.

The route runs through ornamental plants and vegetable growing areas in Van Giang and Yen My districts (Hung Yen province).

The inter-provincial route also passes through many large industrial parks such as: Khoai Chau Industrial Park, Yen My II, and Pho Noi B... In addition, it also connects directly to Ring Road 4 - the capital region currently under construction.

Vehicles can now travel in the direction of Hanoi - Van Giang - Yen My.

In the opposite direction, the road is still blocked by concrete blocks.

The Hanoi - Hung Yen inter-provincial road has a concrete median strip installed, with additional trees planted, helping to clearly distinguish between the main road and the service road.

The inter-provincial road is designed with 6 lanes (3 lanes on each side), in which the highlight is the overpass on National Highway 39 with 8 lanes. This overpass becomes a direct intersection between the inter-provincial road and the road connecting the two expressways Hanoi - Hai Phong and Cau Gie - Ninh Binh.

The overpass has two entrances and exits.

The end point of phase 1 is at Yen My roundabout (Hung Yen), from here, vehicles can enter the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway toll station, another direction to Hung Yen and Thai Binh.

Once opened to traffic, the route will serve transportation and people to move smoothly to the northern gateway of Hanoi, while connecting Hung Yen with Thai Binh; Ring Road 3.5 and Ring Road 4 in the future.
