Accordingly, Vietnam Railways Corporation only receives and transports relief goods from organizations and individuals free of charge through the People's Committees, Fatherland Front Committees and Red Cross Societies of provinces and centrally-run cities. This regulation aims to ensure the smooth, timely and safe transportation of relief goods to the people.

The work of receiving and unloading relief goods is organized by Vietnam Railways Corporation at qualified terminal stations on the national railway network such as: Saigon, Song Than, Nha Trang, Dong Hoi, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Giap Bat, Hanoi , Hai Phong,... Relief goods will be transported to Hue station and Da Nang station for continued distribution.

The free transportation of relief goods program is being implemented by Vietnam Railways Corporation from now until further notice. Vietnam Railways Corporation requests agencies, organizations and localities to closely coordinate in receiving, loading and distributing goods, in order to promptly support people in flood-hit areas to stabilize their lives soon.
