In urgent document No. 374/BC-BCT sent to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that implementing the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son - Head of the Steering Committee of the 2025 Autumn Fair, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed that the Prime Minister consider and give specific instructions on reducing the scale of the ceremony.
Since mid-October 2025, many provinces in the Central region have been severely affected by prolonged floods, causing serious damage to people, property and infrastructure.
Tens of thousands of households had to be urgently evacuated, while many residential areas, schools, and medical stations were deeply flooded and traffic was cut off.
The reduction in the scale of the closing ceremony of the first Autumn Fair in 2025 aims to demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and sharing with people in flood-affected areas, while using resources economically, effectively and in accordance with the Government 's direction in the special context of the country.
According to the proposal, the Closing Ceremony will be held directly, solemnly but economically at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, without fireworks and without live television or radio broadcast.
Instead, the program will be recorded and aired at the appropriate time.
The closing ceremony was simplified but still ensured full meaning, including: an opening art performance; speech by the Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Fair Steering Committee and the Minister of Industry and Trade; honoring organizations and individuals who contributed to the success of the fair; and two art performances with the theme "Autumn - love for the homeland, country and people of Vietnam".
The ceremony is expected to be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, along with Minister of Industry and Trade - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, and members of the Steering Committee.
Participants include representatives of leaders of central ministries, branches, government agencies, localities, industry associations, businesses and trade promotion organizations.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, after Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's call for donations to support the people of the Central region at the opening ceremony of the Fair, by the end of October 29, the donation account had received nearly 300 million VND.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade also sent a dispatch calling on corporations, groups and state-owned enterprises to continue contributing to the support fund until the closing ceremony.
In addition, the 2025 Autumn Fair has attracted widespread media attention, with more than 500 news, articles, and reports published in central and local press agencies, and more than 5 million online views on digital platforms.
According to the assessment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, this strong communication activity has created a positive ripple effect in society, contributing to honoring Vietnamese goods, while enhancing the image, position and prestige of Vietnam in the international arena.
The fair recorded more than 100 cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed between Vietnamese enterprises and international partners in the fields of investment, trade, technology transfer, supply chain development and export cooperation, opening up new opportunities in the process of international economic integration.
The fact that contracts, agreements, and memorandums of understanding were signed right at the first Autumn Fair - 2025 not only affirms the stature and attraction of the first Autumn Fair - 2025, but also clearly demonstrates Vietnam's increasingly elevated position on the global trade map.
With a stable investment environment, young population, large consumer demand and policies encouraging foreign enterprises to participate in the market, Vietnam is becoming an attractive destination for international investors and partners.
The memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements signed at the Fair also vividly demonstrated a dynamic, integrated and vibrant Vietnam. This result affirmed that the Vietnamese market is not only attractive in terms of scale and development speed, but also a safe, friendly and promising destination for international investors in the new period./.
