Vietjet orders 100 Airbus A321neo aircraft

General Secretary To Lam witnessed Vietjet awarding aircraft purchase contracts with Airbus at the Vietnam - UK High-Level Economic Summit.
Vietjet Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao shared: “This is not only a commercial contract, but also a symbol of trust, aspiration and shared vision for sustainable development and global connection.”

Vietjet CEO Dinh Viet Phuong (center, right) and Airbus Commercial CEO Christian Scherer signed a contract to purchase 100 A321neo aircraft at the UK Foreign Office, witnessed by British Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew (2nd, left), and Special Envoy of the UK Prime Minister Matt Western (2nd, right).
“We are proud to accompany Vietjet – a symbol of Vietnam’s new vitality and stature,” said Mr. Christian Scherer, CEO of Airbus Commercial.
The order will create hundreds of thousands of jobs in the UK and Europe, while helping Vietjet modernize its fleet, reduce emissions, and expand its international flight network, towards its global Net Zero goal.

Following a formal signing ceremony at the UK Foreign Office, Vietjet and Airbus officially awarded the contract for 100 A321neo aircraft in the presence of General Secretary To Lam and Mr. Matt Western, Special Envoy of the UK Prime Minister, at the Vietnam - UK High-Level Economic Summit.
Vietjet and Rolls-Royce sign Trent 7000 engine contract worth 3.8 billion USD
Vietjet and Rolls-Royce have signed a contract for 92 Trent 7000 engines, including comprehensive maintenance services worth 3.8 billion USD. The official signing ceremony took place in the presence of General Secretary To Lam, Vietnamese leaders and Mr. Matt Western, Special Envoy of the British Prime Minister at the Vietnam - UK High-Level Economic Summit.

These advanced Trent 7000 engines will be installed on the fleet of 40 A330neo aircraft, ready to fly directly to Europe in the near future. In addition to the engine purchase contract, Vietjet continues to choose a comprehensive maintenance service, helping to optimize operational efficiency and extend the engine's operating life.
The order helps Vietjet improve operational efficiency, reduce emissions, provide safe, comfortable and modern services to passengers, while creating more jobs for UK people, promoting innovation in aviation technology, and strengthening economic and investment relations between Vietnam, the UK and Europe.
