Duy Manh brings Thuong Chau Memories to the national team

Captain Do Duy Manh appeared in a special pair of shoes, reminiscent of the runner-up position of U23 Asia 2018 of U23 Vietnam in Changzhou, China.

On the afternoon of November 14, central defender Do Duy Manh appeared on the training ground of the Vietnamese national team wearing a special pair of shoes. The right shoe has a picture of his small family of 4. The left shoe has the Vietnam U23 team in the final match of the 2018 AFC U23 Championship held in Changzhou, China in 2018.

Talking about his special shoes, Duy Manh shared: “These shoes are like any other pair of competition shoes. But they are special because on one side is a picture of my family, on the other side is the memory of snowy Changzhou. The runner-up of the 2018 U23 Asia is a special memory when I was a young player. I wear them to remind myself to try hard every day for the flag and the shirt.”

In the final match of U23 Asia 2018, U23 Vietnam lost 1-2 to U23 Uzbekistan and finished as runner-up. That was the greatest achievement of U23 Vietnam in the continental arena, also the first silver medal in the history of Vietnamese football in this tournament.

Currently, the players who made the historic victory that year such as Duy Manh, Quang Hai, Tien Dung are still the pillars of the Vietnam team at the present time. In which, Duy Manh is currently the captain, and Quang Hai holds the role of vice captain. The Vietnam team is stationed in Phu Tho , preparing for the match with Laos on September 11.
