Billionaire Elon Musk's visit coincided with a four-day truce between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, during which 40 Israeli hostages were returned home.
Israel's Channel 12 said Elon Musk will also meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today. Netanyahu met with the billionaire in California on September 18 and urged him to strike a balance between protecting free speech and dealing with anti-Semitic content on X.
Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia have been on the rise in the US and around the world following the war between Israel and Hamas. Musk said he is against anti-Semitism and against anything that “incites hate and conflict,” repeating his previous statements that X would not promote hate speech.
Musk has said that X will be a platform for people to post diverse views, but will limit access to some posts that may violate its policies, calling the approach "free speech, but no access."
