Hungarian President and his wife leave Hanoi, ending their visit to Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - On the evening of May 29, Hungarian President Sulyok Tamás and his wife left Hanoi, concluding their official visit to Vietnam from May 27 to 29 at the invitation of President Luong Cuong.

During his visit to Vietnam, Hungarian President Sulyok Tamás and his wife laid a wreath at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street.

At the meetings and talks, Vietnamese leaders welcomed President Sulyok Tamás and his wife and the high-ranking delegation of the Hungarian State on an official visit to Vietnam.

Vietnamese leaders emphasized that this visit, taking place on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1950-2025), is an important event, contributing to creating a breakthrough in deepening and making the Vietnam-Hungary Comprehensive Partnership increasingly more effective.

The Vietnamese leader affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to strengthen cooperation with Hungary, a top priority partner and Vietnam's first Comprehensive Partner in the Central Eastern Europe region.

President Sulyok Tamás expressed his joy at visiting Vietnam for the first time and thanked the Vietnamese leaders for their warm, respectful and thoughtful reception of the delegation.

Particularly impressed, appreciating and congratulating the great achievements that Vietnam has made in the process of Renovation as well as international integration, President Sulyok Tamás affirmed that Hungary always considers Vietnam as the most important partner in Southeast Asia and wishes to promote cooperation with Vietnam in all fields.

The leaders of the two countries believe that it is necessary to promote effective cooperation in traditional areas such as defense - security, science - technology, agriculture, medicine - pharmacy, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchange. At the same time, promote the expansion of cooperation in new areas such as digital transformation, information technology, environment, water resources management, etc.

During the visit, President Luong Cuong and his wife, along with Hungarian President Sulyok Tamás and his wife, attended the opening ceremony of a photo exhibition about old Vietnam by Hungarian doctor and photographer Bozoky Dezso.

The Hungarian President and his wife took a walk and enjoyed the scenery on some streets around Hoan Kiem Lake.
