In 2025, in Dong Nai province, EVNSPC plans to energize and put into operation 11 110 kV projects. To date, the Corporation has completed 2 projects, while 9 projects are facing difficulties in approving investment policies, compensation and site clearance, etc.
According to Mr. Bui Quoc Hoan, Deputy General Director of EVNSPC, since the beginning of the year, electricity output in Dong Nai province has grown slowly due to the temperature being 1-2 degrees Celsius lower than the same period last year. However, the load in some sectors still grew strongly, such as: the industrial - construction sector increased by 6.09%, the commercial - hotel - restaurant sector increased by 7.53%... And it is expected to continue to grow strongly in the coming time.
Mr. Duong Minh Dung, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. |
According to a report by Dong Nai Electricity Company, in the first 3 months of the year, commercial electricity output in the province reached 3.780 billion kWh, an increase of 1.22% over the same period in 2024; of which March 2025 reached 1.411 billion kWh, an increase of 3.19% over the same period in 2024.
Also in the first 3 months of the year, the province's total electricity saving output reached nearly 83.87 million kWh, accounting for 2.17% of commercial electricity.
The company has also signed load adjustment agreements (DR) with 1,147 customers with output of 1 million kWh/year or more; signed non-commercial voluntary load shifting agreements with 687 customers, aiming to reduce peak power usage of the Southern power system (from 14:00 to 16:00) during the dry season months...
In order to ensure electricity supply during the peak dry season months of 2025 and the following years, especially to meet the province's double-digit growth target, EVNSPC leaders recommended that the People's Committee of Dong Nai province direct departments, branches, and local authorities to take more drastic actions and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for 110 kV power grid projects, especially key projects such as: Giang Dien Industrial Park 110 kV Station and Connection lines, branches connecting high-tech 110 kV transformer stations...
The electricity sector hopes to continue to receive support, companionship, and more drastic and urgent participation from the People's Committee of Dong Nai province and related departments, branches, and localities, contributing to the development of the province. |
EVNSPC also recommends that the Provincial People's Committee pay attention to and support the direction of the Departments and localities to consider and advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve the investment policy and at the same time approve investors of the projects.
At the meeting, the Power Project Management Board 3 and the Southern Power Project Management Board also reported on the difficulties and obstacles in site clearance for the Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion project and 220-500 kV transmission grid projects in the province; and proposed solutions to overcome them.
Mr. Cao Quang Quynh, Member of the Board of Directors of EVN, also commented that in 2025, the electricity supply for socio -economic development in Dong Nai province will be guaranteed. However, currently, the load capacity of the transmission and distribution grid in some areas in the area is at a high level. If the projects are not put into operation in time, ensuring electricity in the coming time will face many challenges, especially meeting the province's double-digit growth target.
Currently, EVN is investing in many key power projects in Dong Nai province, but the implementation process still faces difficulties and obstacles: such as the Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion and many power transmission grid projects.
Therefore, EVN hopes to continue to receive support, companionship, and more drastic and urgent participation from the People's Committee of Dong Nai province and related departments, branches and localities, so that the Group can fulfill its mission of "Electricity one step ahead", contributing to the development of the province.
On the local side, Mr. Duong Minh Dung, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the reports of EVN and its member units for their clear analysis and recommendations on the difficulties of each project and construction.
At the same time, affirming that Dong Nai province aims for double-digit growth and will become an industrial capital, so providing enough electricity plays a particularly important role, Mr. Duong Minh Dung suggested that localities in the province proactively coordinate with departments, branches and investors to speed up compensation and site clearance work and assign specific tasks to each local department, branch and sector to promptly remove obstacles for each project.
