EVNGENCO2 enhances capacity to enforce regulations in environmental protection

At the conference, experts from the Department of Water Resources Management - Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment disseminated the topic of Legal Policies on Water Resources related to water exploitation and use for Hydropower and Thermal Power Plants with many contents: declaration, registration for licensing, exploration, exploitation and use of water resources; monitoring, supervision and exploitation of water resources; regulations on water resource protection; regulation of water resource distribution - reservoir and inter-reservoir processes, coordination regulations... At the same time, updates on changes, dissemination of legal regulations and instructions on compliance with legal policies on environmental protection for facilities under Power Plants with contents such as: environmental impact assessment, instructions on implementing reports on environmental protection work, regulations and experiences in implementing procedures for preparing, submitting for approval and applying for environmental licenses, environmental registration; waste management and control of polluting waste...

At the Conference, experts from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and leaders of the EVN Science, Technology and Environment Department spent a lot of time directly discussing and clarifying practical questions from representatives of units throughout the Corporation.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Minh - Head of EVN Science, Technology and Environment Department emphasized that the conference held this time is not only an opportunity to update, disseminate, and exchange knowledge and experience in work, but also an opportunity for us to affirm our determination and commitment to comply with environmental protection laws at units throughout the Group.

Also at the conference, Mr. Ngo Viet Hung - Deputy General Director of EVNGENCO2 requested units to strengthen specialized forces to carry out environmental management work to be proactive in the production process, ensuring that environmental protection work is carried out seriously and effectively. At the same time, each officer working in environmental work needs to continue to raise their sense of responsibility, comply with and fully meet the regulations and requirements of the law; promote the application of new technologies in units to achieve the goal of sustainable environmental protection.
