What is special about the first Tet Festival held in the ancient capital of Hue?

On the morning of December 29, the Hue City Party Committee announced that it had issued a plan to organize the Hue Tet Festival 2024, with activities taking place to welcome the new year 2024 from January 1 to February 19.

The Festival includes the Hue Tet program, a series of activities celebrating the Party, celebrating the Spring of Giap Thin 2024, and accompanying and responding activities of localities and units.

The opening of Hue Tet Festival 2024 is the Spring Brightness art program, taking place on January 1 at Hai Ba Trung walking street, Vinh Ninh ward and ending with Sinh village wrestling festival - Spring Giap Thin 2024, taking place on February 19 in Phu Mau commune, Hue city.

The highlight of Hue Tet Festival 2024 is the main activities of the Hue Tet program, taking place from February 1 to February 5 at Ngo Mon Square, 23/8 Street and Le Huan Street, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City.

Here, in addition to the opening ceremony of Hue Tet Festival and Hue Tet program, there are also many activities such as: Traditional jam and cake making contest "Tet flavor", Chung cake wrapping and cooking contest "Tet flavor", "Spring Market - Memory land" space.

Culinary space; space for demonstration, introduction and experience of some traditional Hue handicraft products during the traditional Tet holiday; performance of Hue New Year's Eve offerings; procession of local, unit and business products "Offering Spring Flavors", program "Spring Colors Night".

Art program "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating Spring", performance program "Spring Dance", dance program "Spring Dance", traditional martial arts performance program, lion and dragon dance and experience folk games...

The program will also give gifts to poor, near-poor households, families in difficult circumstances and centers for orphans and disabled children in the area.

The "Tet Hue" Festival 2024 is a series of activities to celebrate the Party and Spring, thereby promoting the traditional cultural values ​​of Hue, the characteristics of Hue Tet; creating an atmosphere of solidarity, joy, and excitement to welcome the new year among all classes of people.

This is also a series of activities to continue, promote the achievements and enhance the "Tet Hue" programs that have been organized since 2018.
