Road 47C is in the process of upgrading and expanding in the spirit of State and people working together.

Currently, Lai Hoa commune is implementing the construction and upgrading of 4 traffic routes. Specifically, the KN1 and KN2 routes are over 7km long, connecting Prey Chop, Hoa Hiep and Xung Thum A hamlets, with a total cost of over 20 billion VND. At the same time, the Xeo Su - Nam Can route is being upgraded with a length of 1.8km, with a total cost of over 7 billion VND. The Xeo Su - Nam Can route has been seriously degraded in the past, with many damaged spots leading to "potholes", making travel very difficult and unsafe. Now the route is being upgraded to new rural standards, with wider roads and more convenient traffic.

One of the routes that is also being focused on upgrading and expanding is Road 47C with a length of nearly 9km. This route has a road surface and sidewalk area of 7.5m, connecting with District Road 48 and National Highway Nam Song Hau. Mr. Thach Minh Phua, Head of the Economic - Cultural - Social Department of Lai Hoa commune, said that this road is degraded, people have been waiting for it to be built for a long time, now there are enough conditions to implement it in the spirit of the State and the people working together. Accordingly, people agree and voluntarily donate land, crops, and trees on the land to build the road. The State only supports compensation for architectural works and architectural objects when reclaiming land, but must comply with legal regulations.

Lai Hoa Commune is one of the coastal border communes of Can Tho City. The commune has many rural roads, coastal roads, and roads serving aquaculture. Some road sections are still narrow, degraded, and pose a potential risk of traffic accidents. The number of trucks carrying materials and goods for production has increased, especially during the shrimp harvest season.

According to Mr. Thach Minh Phua, complete traffic infrastructure will inevitably reduce risks related to traffic accidents. When investing in upgrading and expanding more convenient traffic routes, the locality will also focus on propaganda work to ensure traffic order and safety among the people. At the same time, combine implementing solutions to strictly handle violations such as overloading, speeding, not wearing helmets, helping people to comply with traffic laws.
