Members of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee, including Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan and Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of the Hanoi City Police, presided over the ceremony.

This project commemorates the successful conclusion of the 8th Congress of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry , term 2025-2030; the 18th Congress of the Hanoi City Party Committee, term 2025-2030; and looks forward to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
With the desire to preserve, conserve, and promote precious historical values, to honor the heroic sacrifices of previous generations, and to educate cadres about revolutionary traditions, the Hanoi Police Museum was inaugurated and put into use on October 20, 2008. This is a project embodying the dedication, intellect, and affection of many generations of leaders, officers, and soldiers of the Hanoi Police, and also a project to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.

Over 17 years of operation, the Hanoi Police Museum has become a familiar destination, attracting a large number of officers, soldiers, and citizens of the capital city, as well as domestic and international tourists, to visit and learn. It is not only a place to display and introduce valuable artifacts, documents, and images, but also a "special school" for officers, soldiers, and citizens, especially the younger generation, to better understand the glorious traditions, courage, intelligence, and creativity of the Hanoi Police force.
In response to the increasing demands of political and ideological propaganda and education in the new situation, and to meet the growing needs of the people and tourists, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the City Police Department have decided to carry out a comprehensive renovation and upgrading of the Museum.

After a period of intensive and urgent work, the renovation and upgrading of the Museum has now been completed, giving it a spacious and modern appearance, applying many advanced exhibition technologies; combining exhibition content with creative design solutions in interior design, graphics, sound, lighting, and audiovisual media.
Nearly 1,500 documents, artifacts, and images have been collected, displayed, and arranged scientifically according to space and historical period, accompanied by information and articles in three languages—Vietnamese, English, and French—making it easy for people, domestic and international tourists to access and deeply appreciate the historical value and glorious revolutionary traditions of the Hanoi Police force.

Alongside the renovation and upgrading of the traditional museum, the Hanoi City Police also officially launched the Hanoi Police Digital Museum. This is an important step in applying digital technology to the preservation, display, and promotion of historical heritage. Through the online platform, citizens, students, and domestic and international tourists can visit and learn about the museum anytime, anywhere; access a rich collection of documents and artifacts with 3D images, multilingual explanations, virtual tours, and many other modern amenities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police Nguyen Ngoc Quyen requested that the units assigned to manage and operate the Museum continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, regularly supplement and update artifacts and documents, and apply modern technological solutions so that the Museum becomes increasingly vibrant and truly a "red address" in political and ideological education, attracting not only officers and soldiers but also an attractive cultural and historical destination of Hanoi.
The Deputy Director of the City Police also requested that attention be paid to training and developing a team of qualified officers and guides with a deep understanding of the history and traditions of the Hanoi Police, to act as a "bridge" bringing historical values closer to the public. In particular, it is necessary to constantly research and innovate the content and form of exhibitions, linking them to major political and cultural events of the country, the capital, and the police force, so that the museum always attracts attention and leaves a lasting impression on every officer, soldier, citizen, and visitor.
