Supporting businesses in applying artificial intelligence technology in energy management

(CTO) - On the afternoon of October 29, the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City organized a workshop on "Sustainable energy solutions and reducing air conditioning system costs using AIoT technology".

At the workshop, leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City disseminated the main contents of Resolution No. 70 - NQ/TW dated August 20, 2025 of the Politburo on ensuring national energy security until 2030, with a vision to 2045. Along with that, experts introduced trends in applying advanced technology in energy management and new energy management solutions, especially the integration of artificial intelligence technology applications, combined with the Internet of Things (AIoT), to optimize energy savings for air conditioning systems - one of the systems that consume a lot of electricity in commercial buildings or factories of enterprises...

The workshop also introduced the ESCO model in energy saving - this is a model that provides flexible financial solutions, the energy service company will invest in all equipment and energy saving solutions for the business and the cost will be paid based on the energy saving efficiency of the business, helping the business not to incur initial investment costs... Thereby, the delegates attending the workshop discussed the possibility of expanding the ESCO model as well as support mechanisms for businesses to apply AIoT solutions in air conditioning systems... to help businesses improve the efficiency of management and energy saving, help reduce emissions, towards the goal of green transformation and sustainable development in the new context.
