Supporting businesses in applying artificial intelligence technology in energy management.

(CTO) - On the afternoon of October 29th, the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City organized a workshop on "Sustainable energy solutions and cost reduction for air conditioning systems using AIoT technology".

At the workshop, leaders of the Can Tho City Department of Industry and Trade disseminated the main contents of Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW dated August 20, 2025, of the Politburo on ensuring national energy security until 2030, with a vision to 2045. In addition, experts introduced trends in the application of advanced technologies in energy management and new energy management solutions, especially the integration of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) to optimize energy savings for air conditioning systems – one of the most energy-intensive systems in commercial buildings and manufacturing plants.

The workshop also introduced the ESCO model for energy saving – a model that provides flexible financial solutions where the energy service company invests in all the equipment and energy-saving solutions for the business, and the cost is paid based on the energy efficiency of the business, helping businesses avoid initial investment costs. Through this, delegates attending the workshop discussed the potential for expanding the ESCO model as well as mechanisms to support businesses in applying AIoT solutions in air conditioning systems… aiming to help businesses improve energy management and usage efficiency, reduce emissions, and move towards green transformation and sustainable development in the new context.
