This is considered an important step in infrastructure preparation before Ford Vietnam officially launches its first electric vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E, on August 15.
The launch of charging stations at dealerships not only supports Mach-E owners but also demonstrates Ford’s long-term commitment to the Vietnamese electric vehicle market. The combination of the Mach-E model and Ford’s charging network is expected to add heat to the increasingly vibrant electric vehicle segment.

Besides Ford, Geely is also building a network of electric vehicle charging stations in Vietnam. Entering the market at the beginning of the year, the company aims to install 50 stations in major cities and key traffic routes, expected to be completed by September.
In Vietnam, VinFast is the pioneer in building a nationwide network of electric car charging stations. Some domestic manufacturers and assemblers such as Thaco Auto and TMT Motor are also accelerating in this field. Meanwhile, most Chinese car manufacturers, when bringing electric cars to Vietnam, choose to partner with third-party charging station systems.

The participation of Ford and Geely is expected to contribute to the expansion of the electric vehicle charging station network nationwide. In particular, the fact that a long-standing brand with a large market share like Ford Vietnam has started selling electric vehicles and at the same time deployed its own charging system shows that the company highly appreciates the development potential of the domestic electric vehicle market.
