FPT invests in 5 strategic technologies, including quantum computing and UAVs.

The reform of the development model, aiming to become a high-middle-income developing country by 2030 and a high-income developed country by 2045, is being strongly promoted.

In this context, 11 national strategic technology groups have affirmed their pivotal role in all areas of the economy , defense, and security, clearly demonstrating the viewpoint of technological self-reliance.

Recognizing this trend, on December 15th, FPT Group announced the establishment of the Strategic Technology Steering Committee. This committee comprises five key units: Quantum AI and Cyber ​​Security Institute (QACI), FPT UAV, FPT Railway Technology (FMT), FPT Cyber ​​Security, and DC5.

This is seen as a strategic move by FPT to master core technologies, build a high-quality workforce, and contribute to national technological sovereignty .

The FPT Strategic Technology Steering Committee will be chaired by Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, and Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director, will serve as the permanent Vice Chairman.

In the field of quantum technology and AI, FPT has established the Quantum AI & Cyber ​​Security Research Institute (QACI). The institute will be headed by Professor Ho Tu Bao as Scientific Director and Associate Professor Ngo Xuan Bach as Director.

QACI will focus on research, solution development, training of PhDs and senior experts, and international cooperation. FPT is committed to investing $100 million in the Quantum AI & Cyber ​​Security Research Institute.

For the UAV sector, with an estimated market size of $10 billion by 2035, FPT has appointed Mr. Vu Anh Tu, the Group's Chief Technology Officer, as the Director of FPT UAV.

In the field of Railway Technology, Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy General Director of the Group, will be responsible for managing FPT Railway Mobility Technology.

In the data sector, FPT DC5, under the leadership of Mr. Pham Duy Phuc, aims to build a "true-complete-clean-live" data platform, delivering optimal value to the nation and a better experience for customers.

Finally, in the field of cybersecurity, FPT Cyber ​​Security, headed by Mr. Pham Tung Duong, Director of Information Security at FPT Software, will focus on investing in research and developing a cybersecurity ecosystem, aiming for a safe, autonomous, and sustainable digital environment.
