Nearly 1.17 million candidates take the 2025 high school graduation exam, an increase compared to last year.

TPO - According to the Ministry of Education and Training, as of 5 p.m. on April 28, nearly 1.17 million candidates registered for the high school graduation exam. Compared to last year, this year there was an increase of about 95,000 candidates.

According to the Department of Education Quality Management ( Ministry of Education and Training ), as of 5:00 p.m. on April 28, nearly 1.17 million candidates registered to take the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Of which, candidates studying grade 12 (2018 General Education Program) are more than 1.1 million candidates (accounting for 96.33%).

There are nearly 43,000 independent candidates (accounting for 3.67%). Of which, there are more than 16,000 independent candidates for the 2018 General Education Program (accounting for 1.38%); nearly 27,000 independent candidates for the 2006 General Education Program (accounting for 2.29%).

This year, candidates in the 2018 general education program must take 4 exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, they choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Language).

Formula for calculating graduation scores, exam scores account for 50%; the rest is grade 10, 11, 12 transcript scores (50%) and priority points if any.
