After 15 days, the artists and writers had basically completed 18 manuscripts with a total capacity of nearly 8,000 written pages; including 10 novels, 4 short story collections, 2 memoirs, 2 research and criticisms.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Khoi, Acting Director of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation, spoke.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Ngoc Khoi, Acting Director of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation, emphasized: The 2025 Creation Camp was truly successful - not only in the number of manuscripts but above all in the creative spirit, commitment and belief that each camper brought.

The novels published in this writing camp create a rich picture of revolutionary war literature and the image of soldiers in both war and peacetime. In the revolutionary war theme, the most typical is “Suppressing Bandits” by writer Tran Nguyen My, which depicts the heroic image of Nguyen Dinh Thu.

“The Forest Man” by writer Nguyen Duy Liem tells a heroic story about a Liberation Army soldier. In the topic of modern soldiers, the most prominent is “Wind from Nhiu Co San Peak” by writer Truong Thi Thuong Huyen, which opens up the majestic space of the Northwestern border, where soldiers day and night cling to the land, cling to the people, protecting every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland. Meanwhile, “Two-color Rainbow” by writer Quynh Van reflects the life of Air Force soldiers in the far South Central region.

In the short story genre, Quynh Van’s “Late Blooming Chrysanthemums” is a slice of everyday life filled with warm camaraderie, where sacrifice and sharing transform into human beauty. Vu Thao Ngoc’s “On the Reed Hill” is imbued with post-war nostalgia, evoking reflection on memories and the desire for rebirth after loss. And Truong Thi Thuong Huyen’s “The One Who Walks Against the Sun” depicts the resilient journey of returning soldiers, still maintaining their bright qualities in the midst of challenging everyday life.

In the memoir genre, "Memoirs of a Private" by Truong Dac Luc is a simple yet moving memoir about an unknown soldier who contributed to the great victory.

Notably, in the genre of critical research, the work "Uncle Ho's Soldiers - Symbol of Vietnamese Culture" by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tu combines theory, memory and emotion, deeply analyzing Ho Chi Minh's ideology and the image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in modern literature and art.

Colonel, writer Pham Van Truong, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Publishing House, spoke.

Colonel, writer Pham Van Truong, Director, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Publishing House, said: The theme of the Armed Forces and revolutionary war has always been attractive not only in the past but also in the present. The results from this creative camp are the premise, solid foundation and also a great source of encouragement for the People's Army Publishing House and the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation to continue to coordinate to organize many new creative camps in the future.
