Early Sunday morning at Battalion 3, Regiment 1, the atmosphere is different from usual. CSMs are in full uniform, ready to welcome relatives to visit the unit.

Private Trinh Hoan Thinh, a soldier of Squad 8, Platoon 8, Company 11, happily welcomed his mother from Dai Quang Commune, Dai Loc District, Quang Nam Province to visit. The moment of meeting was emotional. Seeing her son healthy and mature in his speech, demeanor, and greetings, Ms. Tran Thi Thuong was so happy that tears kept rolling down her cheeks.

Ms. Thuong shared: “When I entered the unit and saw the neat and tidy accommodation, the bright-green-clean-beautiful environment, and the commander met with me to inform me about my son's study and training situation, I was very happy. This is a favorable condition for my son and his teammates to strive to study, train, and strive.”

New soldiers of Company 11, Battalion 3, Regiment 1 welcome relatives to visit the unit.

In the barracks of Company 11, Battalion 1, under the canopy of the cajuput trees, Private Ho Dang An, a soldier of Squad 5, Platoon 8, chatted happily with his wife, Do Nguyen Kim Yen. In Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, Kim Yen received information from the Zalo group "Soldiers' Rear" to visit the unit on the weekend, so she arranged her work and took a bus to visit her husband. Kim Yen shared: "The announcement on the group was very specific about the time, location, and documents that the family needed to bring so that they could prepare. When I arrived at the unit, I was warmly welcomed and saw my husband's mature demeanor, so I was very excited. I believe that in the military environment, he will study and train well."

Without the joy of welcoming family to visit like his comrades, Private Nguyen Quoc Trieu, a soldier of Squad 4, Platoon 7, Company 11, was lent a phone by the company officers to make a video call via Zalo to meet his mother and sister. Through the Zalo group "Soldiers' Rear", Private Nguyen Quoc Trieu's family learned about their children's study and training situation, and had more confidence in the education and guidance of the unit's officers. The Zalo group model "Soldiers' Rear" was established at the company level with the political commissar or deputy political commissar as the group leader. Here, the rear can interact, exchange information, and share problems and thoughts. The group administrators will proactively guide the content for the family to discuss, and regularly update the CSM's study and living images on the group, receiving great interaction from the soldiers' families.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Quang Hiep, Political Commissar of Regiment 1, said: “During the CSM training period, the Regiment organized meetings with leaders, local authorities, and CSM families. Through the meetings, the unit informed about the situation, unit traditions, and training tasks, and at the same time encouraged CSM relatives to feel secure and cooperate with the unit in education and training so that CSMs can become more mature, ready to receive and complete all tasks well.”
