On December 5, the Veterans Association of Khanh Hoa province held a meeting to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Association (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2023), the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2023) and the 34th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2023).
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the tradition of building, growing and developing the army, the Vietnam Veterans Association and the provincial Veterans Association; exchanged experiences in building the association and traditional liaison committees.

Up to now, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Association of War Veterans has developed over 17,200 members and 157 grassroots associations. Over the years, the provincial Association of War Veterans at all levels and its cadres and members have always maintained and promoted the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the tradition of Vietnamese War Veterans "Loyalty, solidarity, exemplary, innovative"; performed well the tasks of participating in building and protecting the Party, the government, and the socialist regime; actively participated in social supervision and criticism, fighting against corruption, negativity, crime and social evils; actively educated the tradition of patriotism for the younger generation; cared for and protected the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members; actively helped each other develop the economy , reduce poverty sustainably, and enrich themselves legitimately...
Over the past 5 years, the association at all levels has mobilized cadres and members to contribute funds and working days, along with the support of organizations and individuals, to build and repair more than 50 houses for members in difficult circumstances, with a total value of more than 2.2 billion VND. Every year, the entire association and philanthropists contribute over 700 million VND to the War Veterans' Education Promotion Fund at all levels to award scholarships to children and grandchildren of war veterans in difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to study well. Currently, the entire association has 265 small and medium-sized enterprises, 4 cooperatives, 6 cooperative groups, 164 farms and ranches owned by war veterans operating effectively, creating stable jobs for thousands of workers; there are 1,739 war veteran households with good production and business at all levels...
