Meeting and honoring coaches and athletes with high achievements in the province

- On the evening of August 5, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Provincial Football Federation to organize a meeting to honor coaches and athletes who achieved high results at international tournaments and the Lang Son U11 football team.

Attending the program were comrades: Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments, agencies and sponsors.

Athlete Luong Thi Thanh Tuyen spoke on behalf of the honored athletes at the meeting.

During the meeting, delegates listened to a representative of the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center briefly report on the training and competition process with high achievements of athlete Ngo Thi Thu Phuong (won 1 gold medal) at the 2025 Asian Muay Championship; athlete Luong Thi Thanh Tuyen (won 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals, broke the Asian record in the 85kg snatch category for youth) at the 2025 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championship; Lang Son U11 football team (won bronze medal) at the 2025 National Children's Football Championship.

Comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting program.

Speaking at the program, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee warmly congratulated, commended and acknowledged the achievements that the province's athletes had achieved in recent national and international sports competitions. He emphasized that these achievements were unprecedented in the history of the province's sports. He affirmed that these were worthy rewards for the relentless efforts of the coaches and the determination of the athletes.

He believes that with the attention, leadership, direction and methodical investment orientation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee for sports, together with the efforts of the culture, sports and tourism sector and the attention and support of athletes' families, sponsors, and the efforts of coaches and athletes, Lang Son sports will continue to "bear fruit" and achieve even greater achievements in the coming time.

With outstanding achievements in national and international sports competitions in 2025, in the meeting program, 12 outstanding coaches and athletes (Weightlifting, Muay Thai and Football) received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 1 individual received a certificate of merit from the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for his contributions to the U11 football team's achievements in competition; The Provincial Football Federation also presented certificates of merit and bonuses to members of the Lang Son U11 football team.
