Established on March 28, 2000, Southern Gas Trading Joint Stock Company (Gas South) has affirmed its position in the field of distribution and trading of liquefied petroleum gas - LPG (Liquefiled Petroleum Gas), compressed natural gas - CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), and pioneered in receiving and trading liquefied natural gas - LNG (Liquefiled Natural Gas) when LNG was imported into the Vietnamese market, in line with the general trend of the world .

Gas South products and services:

Compressed Natural Gas - CNG

CNG is a product of the petroleum industry with the main component being methane CH4, processed and compressed at high pressure (200 - 250 bar) to be stored in specialized tanks and transported to consumption locations such as industrial factories and filling stations for vehicles.

CNG has been proven to be a smokeless gas product, helping to reduce the amount of SOx, COx, NOx... emitted into the environment, while saving fuel costs.

With its outstanding characteristics, many advanced countries in the world such as the United States, Japan, Korea, India, China and European countries have used CNG as a fuel to limit environmental pollution.

Liquefied Natural Gas - LNG

LNG is liquefied natural gas whose main component is CH4 - methane (accounting for about 95%), colorless, odorless. LNG is natural gas that is deeply frozen at -162°C to turn into liquid, and is stored in specialized tanks for transportation to the point of consumption.

LNG is used similarly to dry gas to serve the gas needs of power plants, industrial households, urban areas, etc. Currently, in many countries around the world, LNG is also used as fuel for means of transport: ships, trains and heavy trucks to minimize environmental pollution.

In addition, LNG can be transported by tanker trucks, trains, and coastal ships with a capacity of 2,500-12,000 m3 to consumers far from gas pipelines, coastal markets, and offshore islands.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas - LPG

LPG is commonly known as gas, composed of Hydro-Carbon gases, mainly Propane and Butane (including Iso-Butrane), obtained from crude oil refining or natural gas processing.

For LPG products, Gas South is always proud to be one of the leading Vietnamese brands, receiving trust from consumers and long-term cooperation from customers with 06 brands of household LPG cylinders: Gas Dau Khi, VT Gas, A Gas, JP Gas, Dak Gas, Dang Phuoc Gas.

Gas South's LPG business network has now covered the provinces from Ca Mau to Nghe An, including a system of 4 warehouses with a total capacity of 8,100 tons and 17 LPG filling stations evenly distributed throughout the business areas.
