2024 Elegant Nursing Contest: recognizing the beauty and friendliness of nurses in patient care

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of August 8, the Vietnam - Czech Friendship Hospital organized the final round of the "Elegant Nursing 2024" Contest. Attending the contest were representatives of the Vietnam Nursing Association, Hai Phong Nursing Association and related units.

Participating in the final round of the contest today are 16 contestants representing more than 1,400 nurses of the Hospital, going through the preliminary and final rounds with the highest scores, the contestants continue to demonstrate their talent, bravery and beauty through the introduction, costume and behavior rounds. From there, the Organizing Committee selected and awarded 01 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 10 Encouragement Prizes and a number of secondary prizes.

Over the years, the Nursing industry has made proud progress. Over the past 30 years, nursing training has been upgraded to four levels: college, university, master's/specialty I, and especially since 2019, PhD training has been provided in Nursing. The functions and scope of nursing professional activities have been expanded. The nursing management system has been formed from the Ministry of Health to the Departments of Health, hospitals and departments. Patients enjoy increasingly high-quality medical services. The work of nurses at medical facilities is always associated with the motto "The health and satisfaction of patients is the joy and happiness of nurses". The recovery and safety of patients is also the joy of nurses every day.

Speaking at the contest, Ms. Pham Thu Ha, Chief of Office of the Vietnam Nursing Association, highly appreciated the organization of the contest by the Vietnam - Czech Friendship Hospital. This is a humane and useful program that creates pride in the nursing profession. The contest is an opportunity for nurses to express themselves, exchange experiences, update and improve their knowledge and professional practice skills, especially in medical ethics and behavioral culture towards patients, patients' relatives and colleagues. Thereby, recognizing the beauty and friendliness of nurses in patient care.
