Coffee trading in Vietnam is currently sluggish as traders await supplies from the next crop. However, this also reflects the market’s anticipation as the bulk of the new coffee production will arrive in the coming months. Notably, although farmers have begun harvesting some Arabica coffee, the output is still very small and not enough to serve the international market.
Vietnam’s coffee output in the 2024/2025 crop year is forecast to decrease by 5-10% due to the impact of climate change. However, coffee prices are expected to remain high thanks to increased demand from major export markets.
