Continuing the 10th session agenda, on the morning of October 23, the National Assembly listened to National Assembly Standing Committee member Duong Thanh Binh present a report explaining, accepting and revising the draft Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils (amended).

Afterwards, the delegates discussed in the hall a number of different opinions on the draft Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils (amended). Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee Duong Thanh Binh explained and clarified a number of issues raised by the National Assembly delegates.

Regarding personnel work, at the press conference on the expected program of the 10th Session, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Delegation Affairs Committee Ta Thi Yen emphasized that, in addition to the contents of legislation, supervision and decision on issues and policies on socio -economic development, personnel work is a highlight that voters and people are particularly interested in at the session.

"Based on the decision of the Central Executive Committee and the Submission of competent agencies, the National Assembly will consider and decide on a number of personnel matters within its authority, including the election, approval, and dismissal of a number of key leadership positions in the State apparatus," said Ms. Yen.

This is a regular activity to ensure the succession, stability and efficiency of the apparatus in the new situation and the entire personnel process is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the law; ensuring democracy, objectivity and transparency; National Assembly deputies will exercise their rights and responsibilities before the people and voters through secret ballot to ensure the principles of centralism and democracy.

"It can be affirmed that the personnel work at this session will also be carefully and methodically prepared. This is not only a step in perfecting the organizational apparatus at the end of the term, but also creates a foundation for the activities and effectiveness of the state apparatus in the next period," said Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Delegation Affairs Committee Ta Thi Yen.
