The Ministry of Public Security also stipulates that within 30 days from the date of making the vehicle ownership transfer documents, the vehicle owner whose name is on the vehicle registration certificate must complete the revocation procedure.

Failure to carry out the revocation and transfer procedures poses many risks to the person whose name is still on the vehicle registration certificate, such as: The vehicle may be refused to be inspected; responsibility for cases where the vehicle violates traffic safety order, traffic accidents occur... Therefore, the Traffic Police Department recommends that all citizens actively cooperate, provide correct and sufficient information or proactively go to the police headquarters of the commune or ward where they reside to provide and be guided to carry out related procedures. In cases where all relevant regulations have been fully implemented but the vehicle owner's information cannot be determined, the vehicle registration agency will update the status "vehicle not in operation".
