Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, stated: "Vietnam now has two more best tourist villages in the United Nations' system of best tourist villages. This further affirms that Vietnam is becoming an increasingly attractive tourist destination. Local cultural values are being celebrated, and local ecotourism destinations have a strong appeal."
Mr. Phung Quang Thang, Chairman of the Vietnam Green Tourism Association, stated: "The community-based tourism villages that have been recognized internationally are largely thanks to the efforts of the people in those villages. We need policies to replicate these models to create attractive tourism products in each region."
The award is not only a source of pride for the two localities but also represents well-deserved international recognition of Vietnam's efforts in preserving and conserving indigenous cultural values; and developing sustainable, community-based tourism and service models.
