The results achieved by the industrial sector in the first nine months clearly reflect the adaptability and recovery capacity of businesses. They also demonstrate the effectiveness of the city government's supportive policies in promoting industrial production.

Positive signals from businesses

Amidst the volatile global textile market, Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Corporation recorded consolidated revenue of VND 4,202 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 329 billion after nine months, achieving 83% and 91% of the annual plan respectively. The company projects revenue of VND 1,023 billion and consolidated profit of VND 71 billion in Q4 2025, striving to complete the entire annual plan.

According to business representatives, the above results were achieved thanks to slightly increased domestic demand for fabrics and export orders during the peak season, as well as a recovery in the Chinese and Korean markets. However, there are still many challenges due to the slowdown in the US market caused by rising consumer prices, and stricter "green" standards in Europe and Japan, requiring businesses to meet additional environmental certifications and traceability requirements. At the same time, the cotton, fiber, and yarn market has not yet shown signs of a breakthrough in the final months of the year.

In the seafood production and export sector, Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading Joint Stock Company recorded revenue of VND 943.6 billion in Q3 2025, an increase of 18.91% compared to the same period in 2024 (VND 793.57 billion). Meanwhile, financial expenses and selling expenses in Q3 2025 decreased by 6.31% and 6.95% respectively compared to the same period in 2024. As a result, the company's after-tax profit in Q3 2025 increased by 154.1% compared to the same period in 2024.

Explaining the above results, Mr. Tran Van Linh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading Joint Stock Company, said that it was due to increased sales in the European market, specifically reaching US$20.66 million in Q3/2025 (US$12.57 million in Q3/2024). At the same time, the company proactively produced goods in response to new tax policies, restructured its market, and increased exports to emerging markets.

Regarding manufacturing and processing, in the first nine months of the year, Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC) achieved revenue of VND 3,791.3 billion, an increase of 6.64% compared to the same period last year. In the third quarter alone, the company's revenue grew by 1.35% year-on-year. Meanwhile, in the first nine months of 2025, Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd. exported goods worth USD 65 million, essentially approaching its 2025 target of USD 95 million.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, Director of Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that the number of orders has increased by about 20% from the second quarter of 2025 to the present, so the company is continuously recruiting 200-300 workers to meet production requirements. The company maintains the highest product quality to not only complete the annual plan but also create a solid foundation for stronger growth in the following years.

Strengthening growth momentum

According to the report on the socio -economic situation of Da Nang city, in the first nine months of 2025, the industrial production index (IIP) of Da Nang city increased by 10.5% compared to the same period in 2024.

The city's industrial landscape in the first nine months continued its growth momentum, with many items showing higher production volumes compared to the same period last year. Specifically: frozen meat and fish increased by 34.4%; bricks and building blocks made of cement, concrete, or artificial stone increased by 54.5%; motor vehicles for goods transport increased by 65%... Overall, in the first nine months, the consumption index of the manufacturing industry increased by 8.9% compared to the same period last year. Some sectors with high consumption growth indices include: production of pharmaceuticals, chemical drugs, and medicinal materials increased by 18.8%; production of other non-metallic mineral products increased by 95.1%; metal production increased by 19.4%; and motor vehicle production increased by 21.3%...

Based on the above results, Mr. Tran Van Vu, Head of Statistics of Da Nang, noted that the city's industrial production is increasingly improving, focusing on the processing and manufacturing sectors. To maintain this growth momentum, it is necessary to strengthen support for industrial enterprises to stabilize production, reduce costs, and implement preferential credit support policies, debt restructuring, and debt deferral for small and medium-sized enterprises; encourage energy saving and the use of domestic raw materials to replace imports in order to reduce input costs.

Promoting industrial processing and manufacturing towards high value-added production, focusing on developing advantageous and rapidly growing sectors in the past nine months such as electronics, information technology, pharmaceuticals, wood and wood products, rubber, and plastics; strengthening linkages between foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises and domestic enterprises to leverage technology and export markets; supporting businesses in finding orders and connecting with major markets such as the United States, Europe, and Northeast Asia…

Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong, Director of the Da Nang City Department of Industry and Trade, said that the department is coordinating the development of industrial clusters in the area; carrying out procedures to support secondary investors in quickly implementing production and business projects in the Hoa Lien and Cam Le industrial clusters… At the same time, it continues to implement the industrial promotion program to support businesses, cooperatives, and rural production facilities in converting production lines and equipment.

The city prioritizes attracting investment in projects producing supporting industrial products to meet input material needs and increase the domestic content in industrial products. It supports businesses in implementing pilot and specific mechanisms and policies; and effectively organizes the implementation of power generation and transmission projects to meet the electricity needs for socio-economic development.
