Rubber prices in the world today continued to increase in Japan and China, but turned down slightly in Thailand. The Japanese market edged up slightly in the context of China easing restrictions on Nexperia chip exports and the weakening yen.

On November 9, China announced that it would grant export control exemptions for Nexperia chips for civilian use. Nexperia is a major chipmaker in the auto industry, so the move is expected to support car production and thus demand for rubber for tires.

In the currency market, the US dollar rose 0.2% to 153.80 JPY/USD after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi announced that the government will abandon its annual fiscal target and switch to a long-term spending plan, weakening the yen and making yen-denominated assets more attractive.

World oil prices also rose on hopes that the US government shutdown would soon be over, boosting energy demand. Natural rubber often rises with oil prices because it competes directly with synthetic rubber made from crude oil.

However, a report by Japan Exchange Group showed that buying power remained weak due to poor economic data from China, which could keep rubber prices low with limited liquidity. On the SICOM exchange in Singapore, the rubber contract for November delivery rose 0.8% to 170.4 US cents/kg at the end of the session.

The latest price quote of Phu Rieng Rubber Company fluctuates at 390 VND/DRC for mixed latex and 420 VND/TSC for water latex.

At Binh Long company, the price of this item at the factory is 422 VND/TSC, at the production team it is 412 VND/TSC; and the price of 60% DRC mixed latex is 14,000 VND/kg.
