In the North

In the North, the price of live pigs remained almost unchanged compared to last week. Bac Giang was the only locality to record an increase, with an increase of VND1,000/kg, to VND69,000/kg.

The remaining provinces and cities such as Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi , Ninh Binh and Tuyen Quang keep the same price.

Currently, the price of live pigs in this area ranges from 67,000 - 68,000 VND/kg. Of which, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam and Ninh Binh maintain the level of 67,000 VND/kg; the remaining localities reach 68,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region

The live hog market in the Central and Central Highlands regions remained stable last week. Binh Thuan was the only locality to adjust prices, increasing by VND1,000/kg to VND73,000/kg.

Provinces such as Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dak Lak and Ninh Thuan recorded no fluctuations.

Prices in this area are quite diversified, ranging from 67,000 VND/kg in Ha Tinh to 72,000 VND/kg in Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan, and the highest is 73,000 VND/kg in Binh Thuan.

In the Southern region

The South was the most vibrant region in the country last week, with many localities recording increased pork prices.

The common increase is 1,000 VND/kg, appearing in a series of provinces such as Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Long An, Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre and Soc Trang.

Notably, An Giang had the strongest increase, up to 2,000 VND/kg, pushing the price to 75,000 VND/kg - the highest level in the country.

Meanwhile, localities such as Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Ca Mau and Bac Lieu kept prices unchanged compared to last week.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the South fluctuates between 73,000 - 75,000 VND/kg, with peaks concentrated in Long An, An Giang, Tien Giang and Ben Tre.
