Launching the photo contest 'Journalism Moments'

The photojournalism work of reporter Manh Linh (Tin Tuc and Dan Toc newspaper) captured an impressive moment at the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

According to the Organizing Committee, the award will start accepting entries from March 15 to May 31. This award is exclusively for staff, workers, especially reporters and editors of the Vietnam News Agency working in the Southern region. The competition is a professional playground with the nature of "we talk about ourselves" but still ensures professionalism, seriousness and high quality in each entry.

The “Journalism Moments” photo contest focuses on three main topics: Press photos reflecting all aspects of political , economic, cultural and social life; photos capturing beautiful moments during journalistic work; and impressive photos of social activities and daily life of VNA journalists in the South. Authors can submit up to 10 works, including both single photos and photo series (groups of photos, photo reports).

Dozens of awards are expected to be presented to the best works. The award ceremony will be held in mid-June 2025. All funding for the awards and program organization will be socialized.

The representative of the Organizing Committee of the Contest said: "The photo award not only aims to honor the beauty of journalism and the dedication of journalists, but also contributes to promoting the spirit of loving the profession, affirming the role and position of photo information in the modern press system of VNA".

In addition to the contest, the Organizing Committee will also organize many other meaningful activities such as a seminar on “The role of photojournalism in creative journalism”, displaying outstanding photo works of the contest along with outstanding photos marking the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.
