Meanwhile, many other localities such as Yen Bai (65,000 VND/kg), Lao Cai (66,000 VND/kg), Hung Yen (66,000 VND/kg), Nam Dinh (66,000 VND/kg), Ha Nam (65,000 VND/kg), Tuyen Quang (66,000 VND/kg), and Ninh Binh (66,000 VND/kg) kept the same price as the previous day.

In the North, the price of live pigs today, April 3, 2025, increased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg in some localities such as Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc, bringing the price to about 67,000 VND/kg. Other provinces such as Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Hung Yen and Nam Dinh also maintained stable prices from 65,000 - 66,000 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, in the South, the price of live pigs today, April 3, 2025, fluctuated between 70,000 - 75,000 VND/kg. Some localities such as Ca Mau still maintained the highest price of 75,000 VND/kg, while other provinces such as Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City recorded a slight decrease of 1,000 VND/kg, down to 71,000 VND/kg.

According to experts, the live hog market today, April 3, 2025, in the North, has shown positive signs with an upward price trend, while the South still needs to closely monitor the downward pressure on prices from abundant supply. It is forecasted that in the coming days, the live hog price may continue to fluctuate slightly depending on consumption demand and market conditions.

On April 1, the inspection team led by Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang inspected two key livestock projects in Chiem Hoa district. These two projects include the High-tech Pig Breeding Farm in Dien village, Nhan Ly commune and the High-tech Concentrated Pig Farm in Na La village, Xuan Quang commune.

This project is implemented by Hong Phat Agricultural Investment Joint Stock Company, approved by the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province under Decision No. 263 dated April 28, 2022 and adjusted in Decision No. 100 dated March 18, 2023. With an area of ​​7 hectares, the project has a scale of raising 2,500 pigs, including 2,400 sows and 100 boars, with a total investment of up to 148 billion VND. Currently, the project has completed about 90% of the items, and is in the stage of finishing and installing equipment. The project is expected to be completed in May and put into operation from June this year.

The second project covers an area of ​​over 5 hectares, with a scale of raising 12,000 pigs/batch. Currently, the investment and construction procedures have been completed, and the project is being put into operation.

After the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang emphasized that these projects will contribute to promoting the restructuring of the province's livestock industry towards concentration and application of modern technology. He requested relevant units to speed up the progress to put the projects into use in July. At the same time, the projects need to pay special attention to environmental protection and complete legal procedures before officially coming into operation.
