Kim Dong district has identified site clearance as an important “key” to help projects and works in the district reach their completion date. With strong direction from the beginning of the year, and the consensus of the people, site clearance at many projects in the district has made significant changes, creating momentum to accelerate the construction progress of projects and works serving the socio -economic development of the district.
The newly planned DT.377 route, avoiding Luong Bang town, is one of the province's important traffic projects passing through Kim Dong and Khoai Chau districts with a total length of 4.5 km. Of which, the route passing through Kim Dong district is 2.5 km and is entering the urgent construction phase. Machinery is working continuously. Workers are working from early morning to late afternoon to carry out the items of digging molds, filling sand, and rolling the roadbed. Mr. Pham Van Quang, representative of Hoang Gia Joint Stock Company - the construction unit of the route, said: Previously, the handover of the site was slow and scattered in sections, which greatly affected the progress. But since the beginning of the year, when about 90% of the site area has been handed over, we can deploy synchronously, arrange equipment and human resources more effectively. Thanks to that, the construction unit has completed 50% of the workload so far. If the site is handed over early, the project will be completed 2 months earlier than the contract. For the project to renovate and upgrade the DH.75 route passing through Phu Tho and Dong Thanh communes, the site clearance work has also achieved remarkable results. In Dong Thanh commune, the route passes through many residential land areas and solid houses of the people. Therefore, the local government has actively coordinated with the investor, the District Construction Investment Project Management Board, to promote propaganda work; promptly remove difficulties and obstacles that arise; and accompany the people in completing procedures. Sharing about the site clearance process, Mr. Tao Quang Truong, Chairman of Dong Thanh Commune People's Committee affirmed: Land recovery is always very sensitive. However, the Party Committee and the Commune People's Committee have mobilized the participation of the entire political system to propagate and mobilize each household, clearly stating the benefits that the routes bring, listening to the people's thoughts. From there, 100% of the people agreed on the policy and support and compensation plan. Mr. Pham Van Khue, a technical officer of Construction Company 668 - the construction unit of the road, said: The characteristic of this road is that it must be constructed close to residential areas. Without a clean site, we cannot implement it synchronously. Thanks to the local government's active propaganda and mobilization, up to now, most of the rough site has been handed over, making construction much more convenient. The positive results from the site clearance work are creating a strong "push" to speed up the construction progress of public investment projects and works in the district. Mr. Nguyen Chi Cuong, Deputy Director of the Kim Dong District Construction Investment Project Management Board, informed: By the end of April 2025, the district had cleared more than 180 hectares out of a total of 300 hectares of land requiring site clearance in the year, serving the implementation of over 30 projects and works. With favorable terrain, the District Construction Investment Project Management Board has strengthened inspection and urged units to speed up construction progress, ensuring quality and safety. Some key projects with high rates of land acquisition and clearance include: Pham Ngu Lao - Nghia Dan Industrial Cluster has basically completed land acquisition and clearance with a total area of 64 hectares; in Kim Dong Industrial Cluster and Dang Le Industrial Cluster, 100% of the people have agreed and received compensation and support for land acquisition and clearance, while some households have graves and assets on the land; Dang Le Industrial Cluster has acquired 39.51/42.88 hectares, reaching 92.14%; the project to build the new planned section of DT.377 road to avoid Luong Bang town has approved the compensation plan to support land of individual households and public land managed by the Commune People's Committee and paid money to 174/182 households; The Chinh Nghia - Phu Cuong road project has handed over 15.42/25.9 hectares of 325 households, moved 32 graves... Site clearance work is always a sensitive stage, requiring the synchronous participation of the entire political system and consensus from the people. The results achieved in the first months of the year in Kim Dong are clear evidence of the effectiveness of the drastic direction, close implementation and flexibility in handling practical matters. Especially the effective participation of the local government in propaganda, mobilization and accompanying the people to resolve arising problems. From there, the district builds trust and consensus among the people. This is an important factor to ensure the progress of works and projects. With the spirit of "clean land - fast works - sustainable efficiency", Kim Dong district is gradually clearing the flow of public investment from projects and works that are gradually taking shape, creating a foundation for sustainable development.
