Implementing the Government's policy on cashless payment, Hung Yen Power Company (PC Hung Yen) has implemented a plan to eliminate direct electricity bill collection counters in the province, starting from April 2025 and completed before June 30, 2025.
Accordingly, from the March 2025 electricity bill issuance period to the end of June 2025, the power companies under PC Hung Yen will stop collecting electricity bills at traditional electricity bill collection points. By May 20, the power companies had removed nearly 350/708 direct electricity bill collection counters. Of which, 3 power companies have removed 100% of the collection counters in the area, namely Yen My Power Company, My Hao Power Company, and Kim Dong Power Company. The remaining power companies are continuing to propagate to customers and will do so from now until the end of June.
To eliminate direct electricity bill collection counters, PC Hung Yen has proactively worked with banks and partners to coordinate at electricity bill collection points; instruct customers to open electricity bill payment accounts via applications. The company has promoted propaganda about the elimination of traditional electricity bill collection points on the radio system, on Zalo and Facebook applications; increased posting of notices using banners, posters, etc. at electricity bill collection points, cultural houses of residential groups and villages. At the same time, direct notification messages are sent to customers. Electricity bill payments by customers will be switched to non-cash electronic payments through banking partners with online electricity bill payment methods such as: Website of the Northern Electricity Customer Care Center (https://cskh.npc.com.vn); via the National Public Service Portal (https://dichvucong.gov.vn); automatic payment via bank, by card account via Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and SMS Banking or at ATMs, through other e-wallets such as ZaloPay, Momo, VNPay ...
In the coming time, the company will continue to promote propaganda so that customers can better understand electronic payment methods as well as the Government 's policy on "cashless payment". At the same time, coordinate with banks and intermediary organizations to encourage customers to open bank accounts and e-wallets for convenient online payment...
