According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment (the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee), as of May 23, the whole province had 1,365/1,368 households (99.8%) that had started construction and renovation of houses. Of these, 631 new houses were built, 735 houses were repaired; 3 houses have not yet started construction (Van Lam district still has 2 houses because they are within the clearance area of Ring Road 4 - Hanoi Capital Region, currently waiting for land allocation for resettlement; Hung Yen city still has 1 house because the land boundary has not been determined to start construction). 930/1,368 houses have been completed, reaching 68% (265 new houses were built, 665 houses were repaired). Tien Lu district has completed the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025; meanwhile, Hung Yen city has only completed 32% of the houses that need to be newly built and repaired.
Discussing at the meeting, delegates focused on analyzing and clarifying a number of difficulties that need to be resolved to continue improving the effectiveness of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses such as: disbursement of support funds; land allocation to households...

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Huu Nghia, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee, commended the localities for their synchronous and effective implementation of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the past time, and requested: In the coming days, localities need to urge and speed up the construction progress; speed up the disbursement of support funds for households to basically complete the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before May 31, 2025. Particularly, Van Lam district needs to urgently hand over land to the remaining 2 households; Hung Yen city urgently determines the land boundary of the remaining 1 household so that households can start construction soon.
The Provincial Party Secretary suggested that the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee coordinate with departments, branches, sectors, and localities to prepare for the organization of the closing ceremony of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in 2025, expected to take place in mid-June 2025. The Provincial Steering Committee needs to soon develop a new program and plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses after Hung Yen province merges with Thai Binh province in a more comprehensive, systematic, and regular manner. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department continues to coordinate with Hung Yen Newspaper to promote the dissemination of good models and effective methods in mobilizing resources and organizing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.
