The focus and driving force for the development of tourism and services in Cam An ward is still An Bang beach and An Bang tourist village. Having been voted many times by foreign travel magazines as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, known by many domestic and foreign tourists as one of the ideal places for bathing, resting and relaxing with pristine, clean natural landscapes, sincere and hospitable people, An Bang is increasingly attracting a large number of tourists from near and far.

Along with the increase in the number of hotels and resorts of large investment enterprises and corporations, currently the entire Cam An ward has more than 260 private accommodation establishments such as resorts, tourist villas, homestays... This is followed by the strong development of service activities such as beauty care, houses for rent to foreigners...

Rapidly growing tourism services is the right development direction for a young city with many advantages and potentials in the coastal area, shifting from pure fishing to tourism, contributing to job creation and increasing income for the people... However, the rapid development in the recent period has also revealed consequences; the efficiency of exploiting the potential of coastal tourism areas is not really commensurate.

Mr. Dinh Dung - Chairman of Cam An Ward People's Committee said that tourism, service and trade economy has developed strongly but unevenly. Rapid and large development is mainly in accommodation services, not fully exploiting the potential and advantages of sea tourism.

Key coastal tourism and service projects are not or are being implemented slowly, greatly affecting the overall development of the locality. The organization and management of beaches is not systematic and effective; the management and post-inspection of accommodation services are not good.

According to some residents, if tourism and service projects are implemented synchronously and evenly, overcoming the clustering in some areas, the economic life and urban appearance of Cam An will change more positively, especially in the areas of Tan Thanh, Tan Thinh, Thinh My...

An Bang beach is attracting more and more tourists to visit and cool off, but street vendors, littering, and garbage still occur, affecting the environmental sanitation of the destination. "The beach is famous for being beautiful, but if the hygiene and landscape are not beautiful, the brand will be lost," said a restaurant owner.

Cam An is also an urban area located along the Co Co - De Vong River, which has many advantages in river tourism with the scene of people fishing, fishing, and setting up nets on the river, but has not been properly exploited.

In 2024, the leaders of Cam An ward made efforts to organize the event "Awakening the Co Co River" for the first time, which initially brought positive results. However, that is not enough! In addition to the type of overnight accommodation, dining, and swimming services in An Bang, Cam An has not really created new tourism products with the unique characteristics of coastal residents and types of entertainment, recreation, and experiences to attract visitors to visit, relax, and stay for a long time.

Mr. Tran Anh - Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hoi An City said that it is necessary to maximize the potential of the coastal economic zone by expanding planning and focusing on investing in coastal parks and new tourist beaches in the ward; focusing on the reasonable exploitation of the Co Co River to develop river tourism.

Encourage the development of diverse marine economic sectors and appropriate types of services and trade to attract investment, create more jobs, shift the labor structure to tourism services, contribute to increasing income and improving people's lives...
