The price of live pigs today, October 21, in the Northern region increased by 2,000 VND/kg, fluctuating between 48,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.

* Pig price in the North increased by 2,000 VND/kg.

Of which, Hung Yen province traded at 53,000 VND/kg after increasing by 2,000 VND/kg.

The remaining localities purchased stably at around 48,000 - 52,000 VND/kg. The lowest price of 48,000 VND was recorded in Ninh Binh , while other localities traded at around 49,000 - 52,000 VND/kg.

Pig price today in the North is around 48,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.

* The pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions is stable.

Of which, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces continue to purchase live pigs at 47,000 VND/kg.

48,000 - 50,000 VND/kg is the transaction range recorded in the remaining localities.

Currently, the purchase price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 47,000 - 50,000 VND/kg.

* Pig price in the South increased by 1,000 VND/kg.

Currently, Kien Giang province is trading at 49,000 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg. Ca Mau province continues to trade at the highest level in the region at 53,000 VND/kg.

The remaining localities did not record new fluctuations.

Pig price in the Southern region today is around 48,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.

* The Brazilian Meat Association (ABPA) said that Brazil's pork exports (including fresh and processed) in September 2023 reached 112,200 tons, equivalent to 244.7 million USD, up 9.2% in volume and 0.2% in value compared to September 2022.

In the first 9 months of 2023, Brazil's pork exports reached 920,100 tons, equivalent to 2.160 billion USD, up 11.4% in volume and 16.7% in value over the same period in 2022.

China remains the largest export market, with 311.1 thousand tons (down 2.1% year-on-year); followed by Hong Kong (China) with 91.2 thousand tons (up 22.6%), the Philippines with 90.8 thousand tons (up 33.3%), Chile with 63.1 thousand tons (up 58.7%) and Singapore with 49.4 thousand tons (up 10.9%).
