The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has just issued a document requesting relevant departments, branches and localities to focus on implementing key traffic projects invested by the Project Management Board (PMU) of traffic and civil works of Gia Lai province.
Leaders of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee inspected the progress of project implementation.
According to the report of the Gia Lai Province Traffic and Civil Works Project Management Board, currently 9 key traffic infrastructure projects invested by the board are more or less still stuck in compensation and site clearance (GPMB) work.
To ensure project progress, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested the province's functional branches and related localities to focus on coordinating to remove difficulties and obstacles, and thoroughly implement each part of the work for each specific project.
For the coastal road project section Cat Tien - Diem Van, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee assigned the Project Management Board to coordinate with Tuy Phuoc Dong Commune People's Committee to mobilize, propagate and resolve complaints of affected households. At the same time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment was directed to urgently hold an appraisal council meeting and complete the compensation plan before October 10.
Regarding the coastal road project (DT.639) from National Highway 1D to the new National Highway 19, the Gia Lai Provincial Land Fund Development Center was asked to completely resolve the problems related to Mr. Vo Van Hung's household to hand over the site to the construction unit before October 15. The Project Management Board must focus on directing the contractor to mobilize human resources, equipment, and implement construction to ensure quality and progress.
Localities are also required to focus on completing land acquisition, compensation payment and approving site clearance plans for the D5 and N5 road projects connecting the union institutional land, expanding the Cat Tien - Diem Van coastal road intersection and runway 2 along with synchronous items at Phu Cat Airport. The People's Committees of relevant communes and wards must closely coordinate with the Project Management Board to confirm the origin of the land, prepare compensation records, and avoid prolonged backlog.
Notably, two large-scale projects, including the route connecting the North-South Expressway to Phu My Industrial Park and Phu My Port, and the route connecting National Highway 1 - coastal road (DT.639) to De Gi Port, are required to complete all agricultural land clearance work in 2025 and start construction of the main route on December 19.
At the same time, resettlement areas serving these two projects must start construction in October 2025 to ensure land funds for affected people.
For the An Lao bridge project on DT.629 route, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee assigned the Project Management Board to coordinate with the authorities of An Hoa and An Lao communes to complete compensation and site clearance work, and start construction in October 2025.

The project to expand and renovate the Dong Da - Hoa Lu intersection (Quy Nhon ward) continues to be implemented according to the previous announcement of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee.
Site clearance is the key step that determines the progress and effectiveness of projects. Removing site bottlenecks not only helps speed up the construction of key infrastructure projects, but also creates an important foundation to expand urban development space, connect regions, and promote the socio -economic development of Gia Lai province in the new period.
