Not just to get rich
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province, the Thuan Nghia Vegetable Village model in Tay Son commune is not simply a place to grow clean vegetables, but also a place where farmers are "planting" hope and faith, as this model combines clean agricultural production with community tourism development.
Here, organic vegetables not only appear on the dining table but also become a tourism product, helping people earn more income from tourists visiting and experiencing.

In An Nhon Tay commune, Bau Da wine village is still burning brightly every day. Not only preserving the traditional craft, the people here are asserting their position by linking tourism with local products - a direction that helps the craft village survive in the new era.
In Hoai An commune, Mr. Dang Van Cap with his fruit farm model has proven: farming does not need to be large, just needs to be done correctly. His farm not only ensures a stable income but also creates jobs for many rural workers, gradually affirming that farmers can completely do business systematically.

Typically, Mr. To Vu Thanh Tin's household (Van Duc commune) is the owner of a pheasant and stingless bee breeding model that brings in billions of VND each year. This model has created jobs and stable income for 7 to 10 workers who are poor and near-poor households in the locality. The model was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President.
Women rise to become economic masters
Gia Lai has many women who not only overcome difficulties, but also bring the whole community up with them. A typical example is Ms. Mai Thi Huong, who started with a small-scale fish sauce production model, and has now built the Huong Thanh Cooperative (Quy Nhon Dong Ward), creating jobs for 30 workers, most of whom are poor women and seasonal workers, with a stable income.
Similarly, the An Nhon Agricultural - Industrial - Commercial Cooperative, chaired by Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet, is linking farmers to raise industrial chickens and grow lemongrass to extract essential oils. Or Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Nga, owner of Phong Nga Cooperative, keeps the traditional confectionery making profession alive in Xuan An commune.
These women not only control the family economy but also become a support for many other female workers to rise up.
In recent years, poverty reduction work in Gia Lai province has always received great attention from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.
