Domestic rice price developments
In An Giang and many provinces in the Mekong Delta, some raw rice varieties such as OM 380 and IR 504 increased by VND 100/kg. OM 18, CL 555 and 5451 rice remained stable at VND 8,550 - 9,700/kg. Transactions at warehouses and wholesale markets such as Lap Vo and Sa Dec were slow, and rice prices did not fluctuate much.

At traditional markets, retail rice prices continued to remain stable. Nang Nhen rice remained at its highest level of VND28,000/kg, fragrant rice ranged from VND20,000 to VND22,000/kg, while regular rice was commonly priced at VND13,000 to VND14,000/kg.

Fresh rice market is stable
Fresh rice prices in An Giang and neighboring provinces such as Dong Thap, Hau Giang , Ca Mau... generally remained stable compared to yesterday. Popular varieties such as OM 18, Dai Thom 8, Nang Hoa 9 and IR 50404 fluctuated around 5,700 - 6,200 VND/kg. Transactions were sporadic, prices tended to increase slightly in some places.

The prices of IR504 fragrant rice bran, bran and rice husks have not changed compared to yesterday. The current price ranges from 7,250 - 9,000 VND/kg, depending on the type.

Exports maintain growth momentum
Export rice prices today are generally stable. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 5% broken rice remains at 381 USD/ton, 25% broken rice is 357 USD/ton, and 100% broken rice is slightly up to 319 USD/ton.
Vietnam continues to maintain its leading position in the Singaporean market, surpassing Thailand and India in terms of rice exports. This success is driven by a strategy focusing on the high-quality, fragrant rice segment and factors such as packaging and international standard certification.
