On the morning of August 15, durian prices in many localities continued to decrease slightly. Thai durian and Ri6 remained stable at a popular level, while Musang King continued to be low, only about half of the price at the beginning of the season due to waterlogging.
In Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc , Tay Ninh and Gia Lai, Thai durian grade A is commonly priced at 75,000 - 78,000 VND/kg, grade B is around 55,000 - 57,000 VND/kg, grade C is at 40,000 - 43,000 VND/kg. Ri6 grade A is around 40,000 - 44,000 VND/kg, grade B is 25,000 - 28,000 VND/kg. In Dak Lak alone, the price is higher, Thai grade A can reach 80,000 VND/kg, Musang King grade A is at 80,000 VND/kg but still low compared to the beginning of the season.
In the Southeast region, Thai VIP grade A durian is the highest at 90,000 VND/kg. In the Central Highlands region, Thai VIP grade A remains at 90,000 VND/kg, Musang King grade A is only 60,000 - 65,000 VND/kg. Uneven quality, especially in the Central Highlands, has caused prices of many varieties to drop.

Durian exports increased sharply by 64% in the recent quarter, but Lam Dong – a major growing region – is facing difficulties in managing growing area codes and packaging facilities. The lack of a qualified local inspection room forces businesses to send samples to Ho Chi Minh City for testing, which takes 3-5 days, slowing down delivery progress. In addition, monitoring of businesses outside the province using Lam Dong codes is not strict, potentially affecting reputation in the international market.
