Pepper price today August 14, 2025 in the country
Pepper prices in the domestic market this morning (August 14) showed stability in all regions, maintaining an average of about VND 140,800/kg and fluctuating between VND 140,000 and VND 142,000/kg.
Gia Lai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc provinces all listed at 140,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, Dak Lak and Dak Nong maintained higher prices, up to VND 142,000/kg.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in the first 7 months of the year, although the export volume decreased by 11.7%, thanks to the high selling price, the export turnover still increased by 29.3%. This shows that the value of Vietnamese pepper is improving in the international market. However, the forecasted output decrease of 5-7% due to unfavorable weather and narrowing planting area is a big challenge.
To maintain its position and increase its value, the Vietnamese pepper industry needs to focus on sustainable solutions. Switching to organic pepper cultivation, using live poles and applying international standards such as VietGAP, GlobalGAP, Rainforest Alliance... not only helps increase the ability to adapt to climate change but also improves product quality, meeting the increasingly high demands of demanding markets such as Europe and the US. In fact, pepper produced according to these standards always has a selling price 20-50% higher than regular pepper.
Strengthening the linkage between farmers, cooperatives and enterprises, along with product diversification (black pepper, white pepper, ground pepper, essential oil) and taking advantage of free trade agreements will be the key for the Vietnamese pepper industry to maintain and increase export value in the future. Reduced global supply combined with stable demand from major markets is expected to continue to support high pepper prices in the coming time, bringing positive prospects for growers and exporters.
