Similarly, pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau fluctuated little compared to yesterday, currently the pepper purchasing price in this locality is at 146,000 VND/kg.

Pepper prices in Binh Phuoc are also on a stable trend, however, currently pepper prices in this locality are purchased by traders at the highest price in the country at 147,000 VND/kg.

Pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong are stable, unchanged from the previous sharp decline. Currently, traders are purchasing pepper in these two localities at a price of 146,500 VND/kg.

In the world market, pepper prices in Brazil and Malaysia have both decreased, while those in Indonesia have increased significantly.

According to experts, while Vietnam's pepper export volume has been continuously decreasing, its main competitors, especially Indonesia, have recorded strong growth. Recent export growth shows the great potential of the Indonesian pepper industry in the global market.

Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,432 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 10,134 USD/ton.

The Malaysian pepper market remains stable, currently the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,150 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,850 USD/ton.

Pepper prices in Brazil remained stable, with little change compared to the previous trading session. The current purchase price is 6,650 USD/ton.

The Vietnamese pepper market continues to move sideways and stabilize. Currently, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is at 6,700 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 6,800 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 9,700 USD/ton.

As of mid-May 2025, Vietnam had exported more than 84,800 tons of pepper, reaching a turnover of 585.2 million USD. Although the volume decreased by 10% compared to the same period, the value increased by 45% thanks to a strong increase in export prices.
