The exhibition is a meaningful activity on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) organized by Hanoi Museum and Hanoi Creative Activities Coordination Center.
The works on display are the creative achievements of artists from the Calligraphy Club of the Natural Color Life School, with the support of the Asian Heritage and Culture Club and Thanh Lieu Woodblock Printing Village ( Hai Duong ). With the spirit of combining tradition and modernity, the exhibition brings a profound, sacred and emotional artistic space.

Speaking at the exhibition, Director of Hanoi Museum Nguyen Tien Da emphasized that during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh never considered himself a writer or poet, but only a friend of artists.
According to researchers, over 250 poems written by Uncle Ho have been collected, including more than 100 poems in Chinese characters, a significant number, enough to confirm that President Ho Chi Minh was a true poet. Poetry was composed by Uncle Ho mainly from the time he returned to the country (in 1941) until the end of his life, the typical work before the August Revolution in 1945 is the collection "Prison Diary" (composed from August 1942 to September 1943).
In addition to “Prison Diary”, when studying Uncle Ho's poetry, analysts also mention a series of works including revolutionary propaganda songs of the 1940s and the period of secret activities such as: “Guerrilla Song”, “Song of the Thread”, “Song of the Farmer”, “Song of the Soldier”, “Song of the Worker”, “Song of the Children”... Uncle Ho's poetry has the common characteristic of being very simple, rustic, easy to understand, with the flavor of folk poetry, but has the effect of propagating and encouraging the people effectively and practically.

In addition, Uncle Ho's works include poems in Chinese and Vietnamese expressing optimism and love for nature and country such as: "Thuong Son", "Dang Son", "Nguyen Tieu", "Bao Tiep", "Tang Bui Cong", "Tuc Canh Pac Bo", "Canh Khue", "Di Thuyen Tren Song Day"...; or poems dedicated to compatriots competing in production and combat; poems wishing them a happy New Year and impromptu poems in talks with soldiers and compatriots...
The most valuable thing is that the poems Uncle Ho wrote all expressed his love for nature, love for people and revolutionary optimism. The Vietnamese poems are simple, rustic, easy to understand, full of folk flavor, but also very profound, with very effective propaganda value.
The exhibition displays nearly 40 works and documents about poems by President Ho Chi Minh. With the artistic spirit of combining tradition and modernity, the exhibition brings unique, creative, emotional works, expressing gratitude and respect for the great leader of the nation. The poems and verses of President Ho Chi Minh are quoted to express his love of nature, love of people and his revolutionary optimism.

At the opening ceremony, the public experienced many activities such as: Observing the performance of carving the poem "Prison Diary" by President Ho Chi Minh composed by artisan Nguyen Cong Dat; experiencing the demonstration of traditional woodblock printing techniques from Thanh Lieu craft village - Hai Duong; enjoying the calligraphy performance of artist Thai Tinh; experiencing calligraphy writing...
The organizers said that for each work displayed at the exhibition, the authors will donate 30% of the value to the Agent Orange Victims Support Fund.
The exhibition is open from May 17 to 29, 2025 at the Hanoi Creative Activities Coordination Center, on the grounds of the Hanoi Museum.
