Gold price on the morning of April 26 remained stable at 120.5 million VND/tael.

The world gold price dropped to 3,318 USD/ounce, 36 USD lower than yesterday morning. Converted according to Vietcombank exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to 104.8 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Currently, each tael of SJC gold bar is still 15.7 million VND more expensive than the world price.

Precious metals fell as trade tensions between the U.S. and China showed signs of easing. China is considering exempting some U.S. imports from 125% tariffs and is asking companies to identify items that may qualify, according to a notice received by businesses.

Earlier this week, US President Donald Trump suggested a cooling of the tit-for-tat tariff war between the two powers, saying direct negotiations were taking place. This also helped the US dollar rise again and contributed to the decline in gold prices.

The US stock market also continued to increase when closing on April 25 (early morning of April 26, Vietnam time) in the green. The S&P 500 index increased 0.74% to 5,525.21 points; the Nasdaq Composite index increased 1.26% to 17,282.94 points and the Dow Jones added 0.05% to 40,113.50 points. These indexes all recorded increases during the week, marking the second increase in the past 3 weeks. In total, the S&P 500 increased 4.6%, the Nasdaq Composite jumped 6.7% and the Dow Jones increased 2.5% this week./.
