Gold price increased sharply today
As of 6:30 a.m. on May 30 (Vietnam time), the spot gold price on the international market jumped to 3,315 USD/ounce, a sharp increase of 45 USD compared to the lowest level in last night's trading session (3,270 USD/ounce).
Meanwhile, the price of gold for August delivery also recorded a significant increase, closing at $3,353/ounce.
The main reason for the increase in gold is said to be the weakening of the USD and the US bond yield falling to 4.42% for the 10-year term. These factors create favorable conditions for gold to regain its appeal.
In addition, crude oil prices decreased slightly, trading around 61.25 USD/barrel, also contributing to easing inflationary pressure, thereby supporting gold prices.
In Vietnam, the price of SJC gold at the end of May 29 was listed at 118 million VND/tael (selling price), while the price of gold rings reached 113 million VND/tael.
