SJC gold bar price increases, gold ring price decreases

The price of gold bars of Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) increased today.

This morning, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 100,000 VND/tael in buying and remained unchanged in selling compared to the end of last week's trading session.

By this afternoon, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 50 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the morning.

At the end of today's session, SJC gold bar price increased by 150 thousand VND/tael for buying and increased by 50 thousand VND/tael for selling compared to the end of last week's trading session.

Similarly, the price of gold bars of Doji Gold and Gemstone Group in Hanoi today also increased, increasing by 50 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the closing price of the trading session last weekend. Meanwhile, the price of gold bars of Doji in Ho Chi Minh City today remained unchanged.

In contrast to gold bars, the price of gold rings today decreased slightly.

At the end of today's session, the price of 1-5 chi 9999 SJC gold rings was listed in Ho Chi Minh City at 55.95-56.9 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 50 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the closing price of last weekend's trading session.

SJC bought and sold 9999 gold rings of 0.5 taels at 55.95-57 million VND/tael, also down 50 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the end of the trading session last weekend.

Following the same trend, Doji's gold ring price also went down. At the end of today's session, Doji's gold ring price was traded at 55.8-56.75 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 50 thousand VND/tael in both directions compared to the end of last weekend's trading session.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) remained unchanged today, bought and sold in Ho Chi Minh City at 56.1-57.1 million VND/tael.

In the world market , gold prices today stagnated due to the USD and the high yield of 10-year US Treasury bonds, reducing the attractiveness of gold. In particular, when the Chairman of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) Jerome Powell expressed his view to continue to maintain higher interest rates for a long time, gold prices continued to be under pressure.

At 4:15 p.m. today (August 28, Vietnam time), the world spot gold price was at 1,914.3 USD/ounce, up 0.3 USD/ounce compared to last night.

World gold converted at the current exchange rate at Vietcombank is priced at nearly 55.93 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). The price of SJC gold bars is still 12.19 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
