Domestic gold prices this morning (March 29) continued to increase by 500,000 VND per tael following the increase in world gold prices.
At 10:40 a.m., Saigon Jewelry Company, Doji Company and Phu Quy Company all listed the buying and selling prices of SJC gold in the range of VND98.40 - 100.70 million/tael, an increase of VND500,000/tael compared to the previous session. This was the highest increase of the previous session on March 20.
Similarly, at Phu Quy Company, the listed price of gold rings is from 98.70 - 100.70 million VND/tael, an increase of 200,000 VND compared to the previous closing price. At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the listed price of plain round gold rings is from 98.90 - 100.90 million VND/tael (buy/sell), an increase of 300,000 VND compared to the previous closing price.
The price of SJC 999.9 gold rings also increased by 300,000 VND per tael, currently trading around 98.20 - 100.40 million VND.
Thus, in just 1 week, gold price increased by more than 4 million VND/tael.
Still in a strong upward trend, the buying-selling gap of gold rings has been expanding/contracting inconsistently at businesses due to the disproportionate increase at both ends of the price. The gap is currently fluctuating between 2-2.2 million VND./.
In the world, this precious metal fluctuated around 3,084 USD/ounce this morning, up about 11 USD compared to the same time last session. Gold prices have set a record high 17 times since the beginning of 2025. This price is equivalent to 95.80 million VND/tael when converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank./ .
