FIFA Club World Cup final ticket prices drop dramatically

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Chelsea will take place at MetLife Stadium at 2:00 a.m. on July 14 (Vietnam time). This event is expected to attract a large number of spectators to the stadium, especially when the venue has a capacity of more than 80,000 seats.

But according to USA Today , before the final match, FIFA was forced to reduce ticket prices to attract fans. Initially, the cheapest ticket was priced at $312.2 (about 8.1 million VND). FIFA had to adjust it down to $249.75 (about 6.5 million VND), but by the day of the match, the price was only between $206 - 223 (from 5.3 - 5.8 million VND).

It is unclear how many tickets have been sold. However, FIFA's constant price adjustments have led many to speculate that they are "unsold".

In prime locations, ticket prices have also been significantly reduced. Ticket prices in this area have been adjusted from 440 - 546 USD to only 334.5 - 473.9 USD. Some tickets have even dropped below 300 USD.

However, the most expensive tickets have not changed. The highest price for the FIFA Club World Cup final is more than $4,000, while the second highest is more than $1,600.

Since the beginning of the tournament, FIFA has been criticized for selling tickets at too high prices. This is partly the reason why stadiums are often "empty" of customers. According to statistics, there were more than 1 million empty seats during the group stage.

High ticket prices and lack of interest have forced FIFA to make many "crazy" adjustments. For example, in the semi-final match between Chelsea and Fluminense also at MetLife Stadium, the standard ticket price was listed at $473.90, but was eventually sold for just… $13.
