Gasoline and oil prices today April 27, 2025: At the end of the weekend trading session, world oil prices increased slightly, but overall the week still recorded a downward trend.

Recorded on Oilprice at 4:30 a.m. on April 27, 2025 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price was at 66.91 USD/barrel, up 0.48% (equivalent to an increase of 0.32 USD/barrel).

Similarly, WTI oil price was at 63.17 USD/barrel, up 0.37% (equivalent to an increase of 0.23 USD/barrel).

The average price of crude oil traded on the market in April decreased by nearly 9%. Of which, WTI oil decreased by about 9.3%, light sweet Brent oil decreased by 8.3%. Compared to the same period last year, crude oil prices have decreased sharply, on average decreasing from 24% to nearly 25%.

According to Reuters, oil prices were partly supported by the news that China temporarily exempted some types of US pharmaceuticals from the 125% import tax - the tax rate Beijing applied since the beginning of this month in response to the 145% tax policy of the US President Donald Trump's administration.

The move raised hopes of a possible easing of trade tensions between the world's two largest economies , although China quickly dismissed Mr Trump's assertion that tariff talks were taking place.

However, analysts say the outlook for oil prices in the short term is not very positive. "Traders currently believe that oil prices are unlikely to rise sharply due to the ongoing trade tensions between major oil consuming countries, while there are predictions that OPEC+ may accelerate its plan to increase production from June," said Ole Hansen , an expert at Saxo Bank.

Analysts say that although oil demand is at risk of slowing down as the global economy struggles, supply is still likely to increase. Some OPEC+ members are pushing ahead with plans to accelerate production increases from June, continuing the roadmap implemented since May.

In addition, geopolitical factors are also beginning to exert influence again. Notably, the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump’s special envoy – Steve Witkoff on April 25 was assessed by the Kremlin as “constructive”, opening up the possibility of narrowing the disagreement related to the Ukraine issue. If the conflict is resolved, Russian oil sources could increase access to international markets.

Domestic gasoline prices today April 27, 2025

Domestic retail gasoline prices on April 27, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on April 24 by the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND740/liter, to VND19,238/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by VND782/liter, to VND19,638/liter.

Similarly, the price of diesel 0.05S: Increased by 487 VND/liter, to 17,520 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 531 VND/liter, to 17,715 VND/liter; mazut 180CST 3.5S increased by 564 VND/kg, to 16,524 VND/kg.

In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and mazut oil.

Thus, from the beginning of 2025 to now, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 17 adjustment sessions, including 7 decrease sessions, 7 increase sessions and 3 opposite sessions.
