Alain Delon was a famous French movie star in the second half of the 20th century, but also had a scandalous personal life when he was involved in adultery scandals, promiscuity, homophobia, and beating his wife and children... After breaking up with his only wife Nathalie Barthélémy, Delon did not marry, but was always surrounded by women in his life.
In 2019, he suddenly suffered a stroke that severely weakened his health. The actor last appeared in front of the audience when he received the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2019.
Despite many love affairs, Delon had no women by his side in his final years, except for his daughter Anouchka.
French press reported that in his old age, Delon had to face the competition of his three children to take over his estate in Douchy (France), even filing a lawsuit. The land he bought in 1971 is worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
In July 2023, Anthony (Delon's son with French model Francine Canovas), Anouchka and Alain-Fabien (Delon's son with Dutch model Rosalie van Breemen) filed a complaint against his assistant, Hiromi Rollin, alleging harassment and intimidation in an attempt to seize their father's $20 million fortune.
The lawsuit was later dismissed for lack of evidence. However, Rollin was evicted from Mr. Delon's home.
The feud between the three half-siblings continues. Anthony said he reported to the police that his sister Anouchka failed to inform the family about the results of Delon's cognitive tests from 2019 to 2022.
Test results showed that he was cognitively impaired, mentally weak and vulnerable.
"He doesn't talk much because it makes him tired, uncomfortable, his voice is no longer clear. He is in a weakened state and can't bear to see himself like that," Anthony shared about his father's condition with Paris Match .
However, Delon's lawyer spoke up shortly afterwards, saying that he could no longer stand his son's aggression and would file a complaint against Anthony. The actor was also shocked by the fabricated statements his son shared with the media to damage his daughter Anouchka's reputation.
Anouchka's lawyer later said he would file a defamation and harassment lawsuit against Anthony. She claimed that her brothers were endangering their father's life and wanted to take him to Switzerland for further treatment. Alain-Fabien, on the other hand, defended Anthony and filed a complaint against Anouchka's sister for exploiting Delon's health condition.
In April 2024, the judge decided to increase the actor's guardianship after a hearing at the Montargis court, due to his deteriorating health. This means that Delon will no longer have full control over his assets, but will hand them over to a judge-appointed administrator, and Delon will be protected by the law.
According to Le Monde, Mr. Delon wrote a will leaving half of his assets to Anouchka and the other half to his sons.
In his later years, he retreated to his Douchy estate, where his children were fighting over his inheritance. The last time he was seen was at a film screening in the nearby Château Renard in May 2023.
